When the founder lost her beloved grandmother, she was thousands of miles away in the UK, sitting in a corporate meeting when she received the heartbreaking news. In that moment, she felt the deep pain of distance, grief, and helplessness. After months of mourning, she found herself searching for a way to honour her grandmother’s memory and reconnect with her roots.

 She asked herself:

“What could I create that reflects the love, comfort, and connection my grandmother gave our family - something authentic to Thailand and missing in the UK?”

 That question became the beginning of Roti Queen.

 Her grandmother had once shared with her one of her most cherished childhood comforts: freshly made Thai roti, a beloved street food found across Thailand, it carried with it a sense of home. The recipe, passed down through generations, became the heart of this new journey.

 Roti Queen was born from love, loss, heritage, and a deep desire to preserve a family legacy.

Roti Queen was created with three simple purposes.

1. To share this popular street food found throughout Thailand with the world

2. To honour the founder’s family, culture and heritage

3. To create moments of connection through food and drinks made with heart

In 2024, Roti Queen made its debut at Canopy Market during the Thailand Showcase, an event proudly supported by the Royal Thai Embassy. From the very first day, it became a crowd favourite with roti selling out daily.

In June 2025, Roti Queen returned for a second pop-up at Lewis Cubitt Square, where loyal fans came back for more and new visitors fell in love with the flavours of Thailand.

The next chapter begins in July 2026, with a secured pop-up at Potters Fields Market, continuing its journey to become the UK’s most loved destination for authentic Thai pancakes.

Roti Queen’s mission is to bring authentic Thai street food culture through freshly handcrafted Thai roti and thoughtfully curated beverages made with quality ingredients, care, and passion.
